St. Konrad Church was deconsecrated in 2018 and is now being converted into offices for the Zentralrendantur (central financial administration) with an adjoining chapel. One striking building remains: the imposing bell tower of St. Konrad continues to watch over Konrad Hill on Stockumer Straße and houses the modern chapel. Where the nave stood until the end of 2018, the modern building of the Zentralrendantur will be inaugurated in the future.
The chapel will have a bright, appealing, yet restrained interior, which will be highlighted by illumination with the Solo model: numerous, graphically arranged, slender luminaires with high light output are arranged in the room below; various individually controllable lighting scenes allow the room to be experienced differently. The scene is complemented by recessed ceiling spotlights.
