The lighting installation in the Liebfrauen Basilica, a UNESCO World Heritage site of High Gothic architecture, was realized in 2007 under the direction of the renowned architect H.J. Becker. Inspired by the unique architecture of this historic site, special luminaires were designed to highlight the beauty and significance of the building.
The luminaire family consists of two variants: a simple glass pendant luminaire and an assembly of six simple pendant luminaires. Especially in the crossing above the altar, the larger luminaires were placed to emphasize the central role of this area and provide atmospheric lighting. The design of these unique luminaires was carefully coordinated with the architectural details of the High Gothic to ensure harmonious integration into the overall aesthetic.
