Pendant, Sacred

Hildesheim, St. Georg

The painted ceiling of St. George's Church is a prominent feature of the church and should be brought back into focus by modernizing the lighting. In close cooperation with a renowned lighting design firm, the Phase pendant luminaire P370103 was selected and installed. The surface of the luminaire is perfectly matched to the space, so that it is harmoniously integrated into the architecture.

This pendant luminaire has three light levels that can be controlled separately and fulfill different functions. The downlight provides sufficient reading light over the pews, while the ambient light supports the sacred atmosphere and creates a basic brightness in the room. By specifically illuminating the ceiling using the cove lighting and the uplights of the pendant luminaires, it once again becomes the central focal point of the room.
