The subsidiary church in Auerbach was built as early as 783 by the landowner Priso. Nothing remains of the original building and its medieval successors. The current building was consecrated on August 21, 1724, and belongs to the Archdiocese of Munich.
As part of the renovation work, the valuable high altar, which was in need of restoration, was first restored in memory of the martyr St. Bartholomew.
The next step in the renovation: new lighting. Special emphasis was placed on the simplicity of the luminaire design and sufficient reading light. For the new lighting concept, the model Reflex P3303 30 in reduced white was selected. The special feature of the luminaire is a second light level: this additionally illuminates the designed walls and the ceiling. In this way, the architecture of the entire room is made tangible in an effective way.
