Cologne, Cineplex

The new Cineplex cinema in Cologne, located in the former Ufa-Filmpalast on Hohenzollernring, revives the cinema tradition in the building designed by architect Wilhelm Riphahn. Eight new screens with almost 1400 seats and state-of-the-art cinema technology were created.

We were commissioned to design special lighting objects for the foyer and the main cinema hall. To match the modern look of the cinema, we developed a reinterpretation of the classic "chandelier" in LED from the Xoon model series. Two of these chandeliers were installed in the largest hall, Hall 1. A linear version was designed for the foyer in the same style.
