The extensive interior renovation of the Stadtpfarrkirche was carried out from 2016 to 2019. The church is essentially a late Gothic building, which was fundamentally renovated and expanded in the 18th century. Artists from the Munich court art environment were involved in the renovation. A striking feature of the church interior is the wide hall-like structure, whose opulent ceiling paintings with Marian themes are framed by rocaille stucco.
The lighting requirements included effective illumination of the nave shell with the ceiling paintings, as well as suitable ambient and reading light. The Altea pendant luminaire with a delicate opal glass cylinder encased in a clear glass cylinder provides freely radiating ambient light. A separate up- and downlight hangs at capital height to evenly illuminate the ceiling and pews. Several lighting scenes were programmed to emphasize the opulent artistic design of the space.
